Separated because of the disastrous happening, the story shows how family members Gavin Harris, Eve Harris, Josh Harris, and Izzy Harris try hard to find each other to get united. Gavin even gets dreams showing visions of the location of Eve and Josh.
On the other side, the United States Department of Homeland Security who are examining an alike incident in the Mojave Desert gets diverted toward the sinkhole and the immediate arrival of Teratornis. Further in the story, the investigators discover that sinkholes end up in a temporary exit to the same location in 10,000 BC. Meanwhile, before the sink shuts, the survivors find it challenging to discover a route back through the outlet.
Talking about La Brea season two, the story of 2nd season reveals that sinkholes happened due to Lazarus Project which is managed and run by people from 2076. These people are working hard to find a method to deal with their exhausted resources and are exploring how to conquer de-extinction in their time period.
Gavin’s long-lost father James Mallet is the head of The Lazarus Project.
Further, in the final episode of season 2, it is shown that Gavin is almost dying. Eve along with her family members tries her best to make things work in their favor– even as an unpredictable incident threatens to separate them apart permanently.
